What a weekend we had for the 4th of July! On Wednesday the 2nd, Dan's aunt Rita, and his 2 brothers Jared and Kyle came down and spent the evening with us and stayed with us until Thursday when his mom and dad and 2 sisters Lacey and Cami joined us. We all went to the Tucson Sidewinder's game for the annual fireworks here in Tucson. It was so hot when we got there, but the game ended up getting rained out. We are now in full swing monsoons here in Tucson and it rains a lot almost every night. So that was kind of a bummer, but we made it through the 6th inning, so it wasn't TOO bad.
On Friday the 4th, my dad somehow got us tickets to the sold out Diamondbacks game! We were on the lower level, 2 sections over from the Diamondbacks dugout. They were great seats! Dan caught a ball from Greg Maddux of the San Diego Padres during batting practice, we both got the promo t-shirts and Dan bought the 4th of July hat that all the players were wearing all weekend too. We left with a ton of stuff. They had an excellent presentation with military personell and all kinds of really great stuff for the 4th of July. The game wasn't too great, we lost 5-1, which was sad; but we watched fireworks from inside Chase Field, which was very neat!
